Maroon Bells Colorado Elopement | Colorado Mountain Wedding Photographers
I started off the first day of June in the most wonderful way possible!
I picked up Julie’s bouquet from Plumsage Florals Denver studio, headed up to Silverthorne to photograph an engagement session, then trekked up Independence Pass to Aspen to photograph two of the most down to earth people and the love they share.
Julie + Justin road tripped all the way up to Colorado, put their wedding attire on together and ventured out to the Maroon Bells in Aspen, Colorado with me to document their marriage. Julie + Justin had planned on getting married in this exact spot on this day, but as military life happens (they’re both in the Coast Guard!) and they had to head to the courthouse in Texas to make things official a little sooner than planned. Luckily we were still able to capture such sweet and intimate moments in the spot they originally wanted to say their
” I Do’s”.
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, sun-drenched morning. We spent a few hours talking future travel plans (they’re last stop on this epic trip is Alaska, with stops in some beautiful spots along the way!), they shared their first dance as husband + wife at the foot of Maroon Lake, saw a moose graze his way around the hills and welcomed tons of well wishes and congratulations from tourists.
If you’re wondering if you should pack your bags, grab the love of your life, and profess your love in a place that is too beautiful for words…the answer is YES. do it.
